The idea for researching the whereabouts of the crewmates of the PC1569 began one Sunday afternoon in February of 2000. It has been quite an experience. With no exception, all of the crewmates we've located have been overjoyed to hear from us...many even overwhelmed with emotions.
For our shipmates who have passed on, we encourage their families to join us in our reunions. A special thanks to Stacey Smith for her untiring work in searching the Web for many of these crewmates. And, last but not least, thanks to Odis Spears (S2c) of the PC1569 for promoting the idea of a reunion with his shipmates...he never got discouraged throughout the lengthy search. He's enjoyed this every step of the way. It's been a labor of love. Odis passed away on March 24th, 2002. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
